Military Boots Direct Launches its New Tactical Research Footwear Line by Belleville Boots

Tactical Research offers three main models: the Paladin, the Kiowa, and the Khyber. The very modern, sleek appearance of all three models immediately gives this boot lineup a "tactical feel" where stealth and quickness come to mind.  Each of the three Tactical Research models offers features that are specific to a particular mission or use.  However, common to all three models is Belleville's renowned TR-1 high performance insole that employs several advanced anatomical features. This cutting-edge insole features a deep contoured heel cup that stabilizes the heel and prevents friction, an extended arch support that corrects over pronation of the arch, and a honeycomb forefoot design to maximize air circulation underneath the foot. Field testers have given the TR-1 insole high marks and in extended wear and high activity scenarios. All Tactical Research Boots are 8 inches, standard military height.

The Paladin is a lightweight composite toe tactical boot ideally suited for environments involving electrical and/or toe hazards such as a flight line or combat vehicle. The Paladin comes in desert tan and sage gray, which is U.S. Air Force Air Battle Uniform – ABU Approved. The Paladin weighs in at a meager 25.6 oz in size 9 through a combination of lightweight suede and nylon Cordura® construction over a low-profile over-lasted sole.

The Kiowa is a lightweight boot intended for tactical and military training and operations. It features a multi-directional lug design for uneven terrain and an extra-large EVA midsole for shock attenuation. The Kiowa comes in black leather, Air Force Approved sage green, and desert camo color. This model weighs in at only 23 oz per boot, which is almost 10 oz less than some combat boots.

Lastly, the Tactical Research Khyber is the ultimate rugged terrain tactical boot. Ideal applications for this boot are rocky and/or sandy mountainous terrain. It features a deeply serrated heel kicker for braking and sliding on steep terrain, serrated toe bumpers for vertical climbing and crawling, and a Vibram® IBEX Outsole for Rugged Terrain. All of this in a lightweight package of 24 oz per boot which makes it an ideal boot choice for covering terrain.
