Home Sweet Home
What is home? What is the difference between – A home and A House? Does it anyway mean the same thing? Well the answer is 'No'. There is a vast difference between the two NOUNs. In simple words 'Home' is the place where we stay, it is the place where things are arranged and kept according to our comfort and help.
Whenever I think of our new home where we are staying now, I recollect the immense arguments we had in terms of buying the home. Being brought up in a hilly state, my choice was always to stay in bungalows. Staying in a flat was beyond my imagination as I found it like match boxes placed one above another and named as 'High Rise Buildings'. If not a big bungalow then atleast a smaller one. We (My husband and me) argued for more than one month on these simple issues. Although I know buying a bungalow in an expensive place like Mumbai is not an easy thing. Yet I have no other choices. With lots of turmoil which went within us during that period, I came to a halt with a conclusion that not a bungalow, nor a flat but a beautiful penthouse is what I need.
On the settlement of our arguments we decided to buy a penthouse. But that was not the end, the decorations, painting and all were still left and we were left with lots of more arguments on every thing. Starting from coloring to curtains, furnishes and decors each of the things started with arguments. However it ended with my notion as I am the Home Minister of my home.
Apart from anything, the most important room for me is the bed room, as that is the place I would be taking rest after the tedious work. Hence I wanted my bed room or to be more precise our bed room to be big enough to have – the king size bed, rocking chair, full length cupboard. All those things which I had dreamt off making me feel like the queen of my palace.
I wanted my bed room to have the soft peach touch on the head side and a brighter pinkish shade on the window side. The reason behind it was simple, the light of the sun falling on the light color will give shade of tenderness. A bit brighter shade near the window will not fade easily because of the high radiant sunlight. Well this was the color, now comes the furnishing. Starting with curtains, it should be in contrast to colors of the walls. This made me think of nothing but Navy Blue color, as it goes perfectly with the pinkish shade.
The one thing that created problems was deciding about the furnishings for my bed. I wanted something very reasonable and also with Rajasthani print. With lots of dilemma I was searching online. I came across some really amazing sites like Amazon, ebay & Coralhub.com. These guys have come up with this new home and furnishing which has varieties of collections from all the sphere of home arrangements. It really excited me. My excitement knew no bounds when I just found the Bed Cover and Bed Sheets of my choice and at a very reasonable price. I was over whelmed.
I went for a Double Bed Sheet of pure cotton fabric (quality ranges 50/70) with a set of two matching pillows. The Bed Sheet Size - 90 inches X 108 inches ( 7.5 feet X 9.0 feet ), a perfect one for my bed. Both the bed sheet and pillows are pre shunk and there is guarantee of fixed color.
